CRU Inc. is now CDSG

As of earlier this autumn, ioSafe’s parent company, CRU Acquisition Group, LLC, is now CRU Data Security Group, LLC, or CDSG.

This new corporate name is more aligned with the corporate mission, which is to develop the products that help our partners and their customers secure and protect data. The various brands under the CDSG umbrella includes ioSafe fireproof and waterproof data storage, CRU removable storage, and WiebeTech digital investigation/forensics.

"When the ioSafe product line was folded into the CRU (now CDSG) family in 2018, it was clear we had an opportunity to more distinctly state who we are and what we stand for," said Chris Kruell, CDSG Director of Marketing. "We've always been aligned to providing products and solutions that help people secure and protect their data, but realized we weren't stating this as cleanly to the outside world as we should. Rebranding to become the CRU Data Security Group is a great opportunity to tell our customers, partners, and employees our data protection-focused story."

Added to the lineup of proven devices is our comprehensive Data Recovery Service, which provides the peace of mind for our customers that their data is always protected. Should the unthinkable happen, our customers can get back up and running faster than any other available solution.

For over 30 years CRU has supplied high-quality, rugged, and durable TAA-compliant removable storage devices for securing sensitive data in military and government agencies all over the world.  Often created in partnership with name-brand computer manufacturers, CRU removable storage drives are factory-integrated by our OEM partners into computer desktops, workstations, and laptops—as well as purpose-built systems for vehicles, aircraft and spacecraft, marine vessels, kiosks, and other types of installations. 

For nearly 20 years, WiebeTech digital forensics products have been used by Federal agencies, state and local law enforcement, corporate investigators, as well as digital investigators around the world.
